As a rule of thumb, your canopy should be wider than your door opening by at least 100mm on each side, with a projection of 600-900mm to give meaningful weather protection.
All our canopies are manufactured from a blend of high-performance, impact-resistant polymers; a material trusted in architectural applications for decades. They look like finely finished timber but don’t rot, warp, split or need repainting. The colour finish is UV-stable to prevent fading. Standard sizes are independently load-tested to withstand a uniformly distributed load of over 750kg, far more than UK snow-loading requirements demand.
Yes. The canopies can be fitted to render, timber, blockwork and most modern external wall finishes provided the substrate behind is appropriate enough to take the load. For non-brick installations we recommend checking the wall construction.

The MonoLine Lean-To Door Canopy is one of our most popular designs, offering a versatile and attractive solution for both contemporary and period properties. It is designed for straightforward installation using standard tools and the included fitting instructions.
Manufactured from durable, low-maintenance WoodEx material with UV-stable colourants, the Mono is available with either an extruded tile-effect roof or prepared for finishing with standard concrete or slate tiles. Standard sizes have been load tested to destruction, withstanding forces in excess of one tonne, providing excellent strength and long-lasting performance.

FlatLine Door Canopies
Give your entrance a clean, modern finish with the Contemporary and Decorative FlatLine Door Canopy. With its sleek 600 mm projection, this low-maintenance canopy is designed to complement a wide range of homes while providing reliable protection from the elements.
The canopy features a durable WoodEx base, manufactured from a blend of high-performance polymers and UV-stable colourants, combined with a roof incorporating an attractive lead-effect finish. Lightweight yet exceptionally strong, standard sizes have been load tested to withstand a uniformly distributed load of more than 750 kg.
Fully compliant, tested fixings and comprehensive fitting instructions are included as standard.
The WoodEx base is maintenance-free and can also be painted with standard, readily available paints should you wish to change its colour in the future.
Also known as a flat front door porch canopy, overdoor canopy, door awning or door portico, the Contemporary Door Canopy Kit is proudly made in the UK and is designed to enhance entrances of all styles.
